Last Wednesday, we embarked on a journey from the southwest of England all the way to the bustling city of London for the highly-anticipated Digital Rewired event. Despite waking up at the crack of dawn to catch our train, we soon found ourselves in the middle of a transport nightmare, with the tube strikes causing a two-hour delay from Paddington to the Islington Business Centre. But, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, and our delay allowed us to take in the sights and sounds of London as we made our way to the event.

When we finally arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the venue was buzzing with activity. Enthusiastic NHS staff and suppliers were eagerly soaking up the enlightening talks and engaging in discussions about how to improve patient care across the NHS. We even got a cheeky shoutout during one of the talks from a speaker for their Digital Health Check work that we carried out, which left us feeling proud and energised.

Throughout the day, we had the privilege of bouncing ideas back and forth with some of the fantastic exhibitors at the show, catching up on all the great things they have been up to. As a fully remote company at Quicksilva, we cherish the flexibility that comes with our setup. However, being part of a lively event like Digital Rewired reminded us of the power of bringing people together. We gained valuable insights into what the market needs and where we can make a difference in simplifying the NHS through data.

Overall, we cannot recommend attending Digital Rewired enough. The event was a perfect platform to learn about the latest developments in healthcare and connect with like-minded individuals who share our passion for improving patient care. We were so engrossed in the fascinating discussions and presentations that we could have easily spent both days there. And, without a doubt, we’ll be back next year for more!
